Vape Upgrade Kit GP Summary

Touring Ignition for classic Lambretta Models. 2 ignition curves stored on the control unit.

Upgrade Ignition Kit VAPE Road SIP PERFORMANCE by VAPE Touring 2 ignition curves

for Lambretta DL/GP

  • Variable ignition timing adjustment / static ignition timing
  • cone large 25mm
  • 12 magnet
  • 110 watt
  • with Flywheel, CDI and Ignition Coil

The SIP Touring Ignition from VAPE has two ignition curves. In contrast to the Road or Sport version, which only have one ignition curve each. The ideal ignition for anyone who would like to test different ignition curves. The exactly linear progression of the static ignition curve also makes the Ignition attractive for anyone who needs a constant ignition point over a particularly wide speed range.

  • 2 pre-programmed curves
  • Road and Sport ignition curve
  • For all SIP Performance by VAPE Ignitions

The static setting of the Ignition, corresponding to the "Road" variant, can be activated by connecting the blue cable to ground. In this setting, the ignition timing remains exactly the same at any speed.

If the static ignition timing is connected, the Touring Ignition must be flashed to 18° vOT so that the values of the two ignition curves correspond to those in the diagram in the instructions. If the blue Wire is disconnected from ground again, the advance curve is activated according to the "Sport" variant.

Why an ignition timing with adjustment curve?

A static Ignition only works optimally in some speed ranges and inefficiently or even poorly in others. Depending on the speed range, a different ignition timing would be optimal. A static Ignition cannot fulfill this requirement. Variable Ignitions provide a remedy. Depending on the requirements in the different speed ranges, the Ignition adjusts to optimize combustion. In the "Sport" version of the SIP Performance by VAPE Ignition, we offer an adjustment curve that works well with many engine setups. This ignition curve is also stored on the "Touring" control unit. However, the curve has been slightly optimized: from 6500 rpm, the ignition timing remains constant at 14.3°
